4th of July nail tutorial

Happy 4th of July! today my sister and i wanted to do some nails for the occasion so this is what we came up with!

finished product:

what you will need:

a blue (i used French Kiss by Pure Ice)

a red (i used Red Carpet by Sally Hansen)

a white (i used Timeless White by Sally Hansen)

a thin tip white (i used French White Tip by Sally Hansen

stars (i used Starstruck by Claire's Cosmetics)

a clear coat

toothpicks

begin by applying a clear coat.

1.

apply white on whole nail

2. 

apply red on the top part of nail. i did two layers of this.

3.

apply blue diagonally on the outer side of nail. 

4.

place star or draw your own star on blue part.

to put the stars on we used a toothpick.

5.

out line red and blue with thin white tip. i did this to clean up the edges.

if you don't have a thin tip try using a toothpick!

6.

apply top coat.

tip: our white nail polish was goopy. after we finished painting nails i researched and found if you put a drop (or two) of acetone in your nail polish and stir it up it should clear it out, but DON'T shake your nail polish. i don't know why, but that's just what i have heard.

help on Attribution Gadget!

if you look up above right under my "Pages" you can see the Attribution Gadget. I've tried to remove it and it won't let me! I've also tried moving it but it won't let me! Can anyone help me with this?

Do you see how "Attribution" has a different background color then "Pages?" I think that is telling me I can not move it.  I've tried moving it but it doesn't work!

oh it's summer time!

and i'm loving it! this summer has been awesome and what's weird is i'm a little excited to start up in school again. this year is my first year at the high school! last year was kind of a bummer. i was dancing with the high school dance team (i was the only one not at the high school) and being at the middle school sucked! so this year is going to be bomb, i just know it. 

anyways this last week i had dance camp. it was an awesome experience and i learned so much. even though i woke up every morning and could barely move because my muscles were so sore, i am thankful! it was very fun. i love my dance co. and i couldn't ask for a better group. i LOVE them so much! wednesday night after a long day at camp we had a social. we went to some red rocks and had sandwiches. when the sun started setting we took pictures of us doing jumps. they were cool! after that i came home and SLEPT! thursday was the last day of camp. it was a FUN day! 

thursday night Mo and Borgey from dance, and i had a sleep over. Mo is the new freshie, Borgey is a junior, and i a sophie. Oh and Borgey's older sis and her friend joined us! --borgey took these pictures--

borgey's lil' bro had made a fort... so we slept in it!

at two in the morning we decided to do exotic makeup!

after the makeup we put tooth paste on our face. let me tell you, it might sting and make your eyes water, but it is SOOO refreshing. it makes your skin smooth.

we woke up and made some pancakes. yumm! then my mom came and i had to leave.

i came home and chilled for a lil' bit and then i fell asleep. i had my friends birthday party at four and i woke up at 4:30. whoopsie! anyways it was chey, kaylee, danielle and me. it was fun! we swam, ate DELICIOUS cupcakes and watched Tron. since i did not get any pictures of this occassion i will be stilling them from kaylee.

speechless

actually, i can't say i am speechless cause i can say SO much about the Parachute concert! it was about an hour a drive away and on our way we stopped for In-N-Out. i love that place and we srsly argued for 20 minutes on where to go. we finally settled. jancyn and i had fun with the papers they give you.

we got there a lil' late, but that's okay. here is us waiting and waiting...

funny story! so the drummer on Parachute is fine! there was this guys that came on coming from backstage and jancyn and i were like is that him? ya, turns out it was him and we totally missed out on talking to him!! bummer. here's him:

then Parachute performed!!! ahhhh it was so awesome! so twice, TWICE, Will (lead singer) came out into the crowd. and both, BOTH times he was right directly by me. this may sound freaky, but i touch him! he even elbowed me! haha 

he was srsly that close!

so they did really awesome. personally, i think they sound better live then recorded! they are so good! here are pictures of them performing. my camera (well my sister's) didn't do good with the lighting. i tried every setting. so here's the best of them all!

oh and at the end i got Will and Johnny (the drum) to sign my CD and get a picture with them. jancyn has those pictures so i have to wait for her to give them to me...
